It often happens that you need to camouflage the canopy of an airplane model, but there are no ready-made masks/it takes a long time to wait/it is expensive. The simplest, but also the most labor-intensive, is banal thin strips of masking tape, and it is essentially the only one for smooth canopies. But for canopies on which the bindings are marked, this process can be slightly improved. As a result of thoughts, the following technology was born.
Simle art pigment
Cover canopy with a pigment using brush
Cover it with a wide masking tape
Next we made a sandwich :) On piece of trasparent film (or adhesive tape) we stick masking tape from canopy. Stiky side to sticke side.
Stick another layer(s) of masking tape over first layer. Cut excesive materials.
Next - just cut masks by visible contour with a model knife or scissors
Divide the sandwich into layers
Use as usual masks.
For curved surfaces process is similar but we need to stretch masking tape or use little pieces of it.
